Trigg County Rescue and emergency officials are searching for the driver of a truck that reportedly ran off Glenwood Mill Road into Little River Satuday night. Reports indicate Trigg County Dispatch received a report that a truck had run off the road into the river at the Glenwood Mill Road bridge, which is located about a mile north of the Highway 272 intersection. Trigg County Emergency Director David Bryant confirmed to the News Edge that the search is underway. He said no other details were available about the name of the driver or the possible location of the truck.
Reports from the scene indicate the driver of a truck reportedly called a relative and said he had run in the river, with the relative then calling 911. Reports also indicate tracks were seen near the location where the truck was thought to have gone into the river. Trigg County Rescue was searching the river to try to find the vehicle and the driver. There are also reports that Marshall County rescue personnel have been called in to assist with the search.
