First Lady Visits Fort Campbell To Promote Veterans Jobs

The First and Second Ladies were the top guests at Fort Campbell's Veterans Job Summit Wednesday where more than 1200 soldiers and veterans got the chance to meet with prospective employers and learn about a brand new tool to help find jobs.

First Lady Michelle Obama says beginning Wednesday soldiers, veterans, and their family members will have access to which she claims will revolutionize how they find jobs.

Obama says their partnership with businesses has helped to grow veteran employment and will continue to do so in the future.

Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer talked about one of the main challenges veterans have when entering the jobs marketplace.

Chairman of the Christian County Chamber Military Affairs Committee, Jack Smith sat on one of the morning's panels and talked about Christian County and the benefits it has for soldiers and veterans.

Obama was accompanied by the Second Lady Dr. Jill Biden. Following the First Lady's speech, soldiers, spouses, and veterans had the chance to visit with a variety of employers including Delta Airlines, General Electric, Tyson Foods, Sony, Toyota, and Walmart.
