Pennyrile Colonels To Host Derby Breakfast

The familiar strains of "My Old Kentucky Home" will be heard all across the Commonwealth on Saturday in honor of the Kentucky Derby. Christian County will be no exception as the Pennyrile Area Kentucky Colonels host their annual Derby Day Country Ham Breakfast at the Pioneers Complex in Hopkinsville. Paula Knight with Kentucky Colonels says the breakfast is a fun way for people in the area to celebrate the Kentucky Derby from home.

Knight says part of the morning's festivities will include a time-honored Derby tradition.

Knight says you don't have to be a Kentucky Colonel to enjoy the breakfast.

Tickets are on sale at James Knight Appliance for $12 through Wednesday.
