HCC Pesidential Inauguration

Hopkinsville Community College welcomed its 5th President Monday afternoon with an inauguration ceremony. Faculty, staff, community leaders, elected officials, and delegates from other academic institutions were in attendance for the inauguration of Dr. Jay Allen. Due to inclement weather Dr. Clyde Muse, President of Hind Community College, was unable to attend but sent his remarks on video. Dr. Muse reflected on Allen's time at Hind first as a student then as an administrator.

KCTCS President Dr. Michael McCall presented Dr. Allen with the Presidential Medallion. Dr. McCall told Dr. Allen that much would rest on his shoulders from the staff, the community, but most of all from the students.

Dr. Allen referred to a recent conference he attended on going from good to great.

The ceremony included a processional and recessional and was attended by staff, faculty, and community members.  Following the inauguration ceremony a reception was held in the gallery of the HCC Auditorium.
