Lacy Community To File Suit Against School Board

A Christian County community is taking their fight against the Christian County School Board to court next week. Richard Walter, a Paducah lawyer, will file a lawsuit Tuesday on behalf of the Lacy community against the Christian County School Board for their decision to close Lacy Elementary School. Lacy supporter, Margaret MacDonald, says the bus ride is just too long for young students.

MacDonald says they are also worried about how the closure will affect the community.

The legal action follows several meeting within the Lacy community and fundraising efforts to fight the closure of Lacy Elementary School.
