UPDATE - HPD Investigating Shootings That Injure Four

Hopkinsville Police are still searching for a person or persons of interest in connection with shootings Wednesday night that sent four people initally to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Chief Guy Howie told the News Edge on the scene officers were called out around 6:39 Wednesday evening to the shootings that occurred at two different locations.

Howie says none of the injuries to the four victims were life-threatening.

He adds two were taken to the hospital by ambulance with two others taken by private vehicle. Reports indcate the only woman involved was reportedly flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Howie says police do not think the shootings were gang related, and do not think any other members of the public are in danger. Chief Howie told the News Edge the shootings appeared to stem from a situation between two parties. He says police do have persons of interest in the case, with anyone with information asked to call Crimestoppers at 270-887-T-I-P-S.
