Two Arrested In Aftermath Of Shootings

Two of the men injured in Wednesday night’s shootings in Hopkinsville are now facing charges, with one of them being directly charged in connection to the incident. According to Hopkinsville Police, 23-year old Darryl Lee Dobson, of Hopkinsville, was arrested Thursday on a charge of 1st Degree Assault. Dobson was arrested Thursday evening at 2136 Hazel Street after a victim in the shooting picked him out of a photo lineup. Bond for Dobson was set at $100,000.

Also arrested Thursday was 29-year old Robert Earl Jackson, of Hopkinsville. Jackson was arrested Thursday morning on charges of 1st Degree Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of Marijuana. Police say a search of the backseat of the vehicle that Jackson was in when he was shot turned up a baggie of crack cocaine and a small amount of marijuana.

Both Dobson and Jackson had been treated for gunshot wounds to the leg shootings, which also injured 30-year old Teron Renell Mayes, and 25-year old Lakisha Andrea McMillian, both of Hopkinsville.  Dobson and Jackson were lodged in the Christian County Jail.
