Hopkinsville Man Killed In Wednesday Night Shooting

Hopkinsville Police say they do not believe last night's fatal shooting on Vine Street is related to the shooting one week ago just a block up the street. According to the report, officers were called to the scene at the intersection of East 1st Street and Vine Street around 8:31pm, after they received a report of a man lying in the roadway. When they arrived they found 28-year old Keon Grant in the roadway. Grant was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where he later died as a result of his wounds.

Public Information Officer Paul Ray says they do not believe the shooting is connected to the shootings that occurred at Vine and 2nd last week.

Ray says they need the public's help to solve this case.

The investigation is ongoing and at this point they have no suspects in the case.
