Fire Destroys South Old Madisonville Road Home



A South Old Madisonville Road residence undergoing renovation is a total loss following a fire Friday morning. Firefighters from multiple Christian County fire departments were on the scene of the fire at 153 South Old Madisonville Road, in Crofton. Firefighters from Crofton and Mannington were initially called out to the scene around 10:45am Friday, after there reports of smoke being seen coming from the attic area of the residence. Several other fire departments were called out to provide manpower in fighting the fire.

Scott McBride, Crofton Fire Chief Scott McBride spoke with the News Edge on the scene.



McBride said no one was at the residence at the time the fire broke out.
