Glover Stepping Down At Pennyrile Electric

The search for a new President and CEO at Pennyrile Rural Electric will now get underway. According to a news releases, Eston Glover, Jr., has announced his intention to retire from the cooperative in January 2015. Glover’'s announcement was made at Pennyrile's May board meeting. Glover states it has been an honor and privilege to serve the cooperative for the past 27 years.

He served as Manager of Member Services from 1987 until he was appointed President/CEO in June 2000. Glover also served on the cooperative’s board of directors for six years, prior to becoming a full time employee. He says over the years he has seen some big changes.

Glover also serves as Board Chairman of the South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council, which recently signed an agreement with the Cadiz-Trigg County EDC to become a three county partnership with Todd County and Christian County.

Pennyrile Electric Board Chairman Duane Moore says the cooperative and its members have benefited greatly from Glover’s leadership and experience, and that Pennyrile is well positioned for the future.
