Three Men Found With Large Amount Of Meth

Three out of state men are charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance after a kilogram of crystal methamphetamine was found in their vehicle. Reports say Kentucky State Police Senior Trooper T.J. Williams stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on I-24 at the Cadiz exit Thursday.Trooper Williams determined none of the occupants possessed a driver’s license and that a smell an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

A KSP K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs inside the vehicle. Inside officers found five grams of packaged marijuana on the driver’s floorboard and a black gym bag in the trunk containing two large plastic wrapped packages that contained 2.2 pounds of crystal methamphetamine. The street value of the crystal methamphetamine is approximately $100,000. When the suspects were advised they were under arrest, the driver fled on foot but was apprehended a short distance later.

27-year old Marcos Meza-Carmona, 21-year old Raul Shaec, both of Omaha, Nebraska, and 24-year old Carmona G. Meza. of Palatine, Illinois, were each charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance. Additionally, Meza-Carmona was charged with Fleeing/Evading Police and Shaec with Possession of Marijuana. Cadiz Police and the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force were called to assist on the scene.
