UPDATE - Victim Identified In Fatal Wreck On Pembroke-Oak Grove Road

A Hopkinsville man is dead following a single vehicle accident Friday morning on Pembroke-Oak Grove Road. The Christian County Sheriff's Department reports deputies were called out around 5:30am to a vehicle off the roadway in the 4000 block of Pembroke-Oak Grove Road. When deputies arrived they found a deceased male. Christian County Deputy Coroner Mike Stokes says the victim was 27-year old Deremy Wilson of Brown Street in Hopkinsville. Wilson was pronounced dead on the scene. Stokes says the vehicle likely overturned ejecting Wilson.

Wilson was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the accident. The report goes on to note that deputies found several bottles of alcohol in the vehicle and blood tests performed on the victim to determine if alcohol was a contributing factor in the accident.
