Sinkhole Leads To Evacuation At Gainesville Manor

The owners of a Hopkinsville personal care facility are working with emergency management officials and geological experts after a sinkhole opened up beneath a portion of the building. The sinkhole was first discovered when a crack developed in the floor of one of the rooms at Gainesville Manor. According to owners Michael Vaught and Todd Seaver, the crack developed about a month ago. Further investigation led to the discovery of the sinkhole. Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham says they're relocating residents while they wait for a structural engineer to assess the damage.

Graham says they're unsure how long it will take to get an engineer on site.
