Screaming Eagles Welcome New Commander



Fort Campbell and the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) has a new Commanding General to lead them in their next "Rendezvous with Destiny." During the ceremony, General Daniel Allyn, Commanding General of the United States Army Forces Command. Allyn credited the communities around Fort Campbell as one of the reasons the 101st Airborne remains such a strong fighting force.


   
Outgoing Division Commander Major General James McConville thanked his men for representing the Screaming Eagles with honor in Afghanistan.


   
General McConville is relocating to the Pentagon to work with the Secretary of the Army. Incoming Division Commander Major General Gary Volesky committed to giving his men his all, and knows they will do the same in return.


   
Among the dignitaries in attendance was Alberto Gonzales, United States Attorney General under George Bush, and currently the Dean of the Belmont University Law School in Nashville.
