UPDATE - Two Teens Injured In Early Tuesday Crash

Two teenagers have been taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center with serious injuries following a single vehicle accident early Tuesday morning in Christian County. According to the Christian County Sheriff's Department, a vehicle driven by 19-year old Dean Adornato, of Nebo, ran off the roadway in front of 1445 Little River Church Road, striking a rock ditch, flipping twice, and coming to rest close to the ditch.

A passenger, a 15-year old male juvenile, whose name has not been released, was ejected at some point during the vehicle flipping. Both Adornato and the juvenile were flown from the scene with what were termed internal and life threatening injuries. The report notes that deputies suspect either drugs or alcohol may be involved in the crash, and will subpoena toxicology results to help determine contributing factors to the accident.

According to deputies on the scene, neither of the occupants of the vehicle were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, which occurred around 3:45am.
