Christian County Public Health Tax Increase

Christian County residents will see a slight increase in their property taxes after the Christian County Board of Health voted to increase the Public Health Tax Monday night. Christian County Health Department Public Health Director Mark Pyle says there are several factors that have led to a need for an increase in the tax.

Pyle says its an increase of 6 dollars on a 100 thousand dollar property.

Pyle says it is a combination of decreased funding and poor health in the community.

Their next meeting is set for September 15th.
