Benefit Grill Out For Alex Keys

People in the area will have a chance to help a local family this weekend, thanks to a Benefit Grill Out. Alex Keys of Hopkinsville was seriously injured in a car accident on June 11 on the Bluegrass Parkway. Proceeds from this Saturday's fundraiser will help with his family's travel and lodging expenses as Keys continues treatment throughout his recovery. First District Senator Stan Humphries, Keys' uncle, says his nephew is making progress at Frazier Rehab Institute, in Louisville.

Senator Humphries says his family appreciates the support they've gotten from the community so far.

Humphries says they're not sure how long Keys will be in rehab, but the expenses are adding up.

The Grill Out will be Saturday, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, in the Curves parking lot, on Main Street, in Cadiz.
