Woman Arrested For Alleged Animal Cruelty

A Fairview woman was arrested Tuesday on animal cruelty charges after allegedly throwing kittens out of a moving vehicle. According to a report from the Christian County Sheriff's Office, 48-year-old Jennifer Lynn Fowler was arrested on the strength of a warrent alleging that Fowler was seen by witnesses throwing a bag out of a vehicle on Russellville Road Monday afternoon.

According to the warrant, the witness, who was behind the suspect's vehicle, stopped to see what was in the bag and discovered that it contained kittens. The witness then called 911. Officers made contact with the vehicle in question and identified the driver in order to obtain a warrent. Fowler was charged with torture of a dog or cat, a Class D Felony. Fowler was taken to the Christian County Jail and is being held on a $5,000 cash bond.

No information is available about the status of the kittens.
