Tilley Discusses State Revenue Decrease

8th District State Representative John Tilley says state officials are hoping increased spending will help offset lower than expected tax revenues at the end of the fiscal year June 30th. Tilley says General Assembly leaders are concerned about the decrease in revenues.

Tilley says the decrease in revenues could force the General Assembly to take a more serious look at the tax reform options.

Tilley and State Representative Martha Jane King, who represents Todd County and Logan County, gave brief updates during the Pennyrile Area Development District Board meeting Monday.
