Grant For Trigg County Transportation Museum

Governor Steve Beshear Thursday announced $520,000 in federal funding for a project in Trigg County to be used for a continued interior rehabilitation project for the Trigg County Transportation Museum. The funding is through the federal Transportation Enhancement, a federally funded reimbursement program administered by the Office of Local Programs in the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Department of Rural and Municipal Aid. Trigg County Judge Executive Hollis Alexander says this funding comes at a perfect time.

Transportation Enhancement funding enables the local government to recoup as much as 80 percent of the cost of a project. The Trigg County Fiscal Court will put $130,000 of its local funding toward the cost of the Transportation Museum rehabilitation project.
