Texas Man Injured In Motorcycle Accident On Interstate 24

A Texas man was flown to an Evansville hospital following an accident Saturday involving two motorcycles on Interstate 24 in Lyon County. State Police say 31-year old Michael Calhoun, of Wichita Falls, Texas, was eastbound, near the 47-mile marker, when the front wheel of his motorcycle made contact with the saddlebags of a motorcycle driven by 40-year old Charles Taylor, of Springfield, Tennessee.

Calhoun lost control of his motorcycle, entered the median, and was ejected from his bike. He was flown to Deaconess Hospital for treatment of a head injury. Taylor was not injured in the accident, which occurred around 4:30 Saturday afternoon.
