Governor At Logan County Groundbreaking



Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear is set to be in Logan County Wednesday afternoon for a significant economic development event. According to information from the Governor’ office, the Governor, along with local and company officials will be in Auburn to participate in groundbreaking for Champion Petfoods. Champion Petfoods is expected to create 147 new jobs, and will purchase its ingredients from local farmers and suppliers.

Among those that will be on hand is Peter Muhlenfeld, chief brand officer, Champion Petfoods. He is also the son of founder Reinhard Muhlenfeld. The groundbreaking is set for 4:00pm, at 12871 Bowling Green Road.
