Business Spotlight

Hard hats, hammers, paint brushes, and ladders have been seen on the Trigg County Public School campus this summer!

Construction of the new Primary School addition is nearly completed and school will begin as scheduled on Wednesday, August 6, 2014.

Current plans are for the new entrance drive for the Primary School to be open.  CarRider Pro is a new pickup system that will be put in place for students in Preschool – 5th grade for parent/guardian pickup at the end of the school day.  This system uses encoded vehicle tags that are assigned to each student in the CarRider system and is cross referenced to parents or guardians that are responsible for their pickup after school each day.  As parents enter the entrance drive, CarRider Pro will automatically detect each tag as it enters the pickup zone and identifies all students linked to it.  Students will be arranged in groups to expedite the loading process.  Trigg Co. School staff members will still assist with ensuring that children are matched with the correct parent/guardian.  CarRider Pro will record the time that each vehicle leaves the pickup area.

Trigg County Public Schools is expanding the preschool program for 4 year old children who reside within the county.  Preschool classes will begin in mid-August and transportation will be provided.  For more information about Preschool, contact Beth Sumner, Assistant Superintendent, at 270-522-6075.
