Cross Country Ride To Raise Funds

At one time or another, most men have dreamed of taking off across the country on a motorcycle. One Hopkinsville man is going to do it while he's raising money for a good cause. From August 25 through 29, Jerry Allen, of Hopkinsville, will ride across the United States, from Jacksonville, FL, to San Diego, CA, and back again. He'll drive a total of 4675 miles. He says he wants to see California, but his main goal is to generate donations for Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville.

Sponsors, including Allen's employer, JPM Performance Powersports, are covering his travel expenses. He says donating to Kosair is easy.

Donations can also be made directly to JPM. Allen says he's already getting close to his goal.

All donations raised will be given through the Children's Hospital Foundation to support their Heroes for Kids program. To donate, CLICK HERE.
