Investigators Working To Identify Body

Hopkinsville Police and the Christian County Coroners office have still not determined the identity of a man who was found by children Saturday afternoon in a creek bed behind the Hopkinsville-Christian County Recreation Department.

Public Information Officer Paul Ray says they are using all means at their disposal to identify the body.

Despite the fact that the 50 to 60 year old white male was found naked, Ray says they do not suspect foul play but can't rule it out at this point either.

Deputy Christian County Coroner Mike Stokes says they are still working on autopsy results which could take some time.

The initial investigation began around 4:20 Saturday afternoon when the body of a naked man was found in the wooded area near the Rec Department.
