Post Access Will Soon Take Longer

Access to Fort Campbell will soon be a little tougher. New gate access control policies will begin August 15 and have the potential to increase wait times for visitors trying to get on post. Anyone without an approved, government-issued I.D. will be required to have a criminal background check before being granted access.

Visitors will have to be processed through the Gate 4 or Gate 7 Visitors Center and provide vehicle registration, proof of insurance and a driver's license. Visitors should be prepared to provide their full name, birth date and social security number. Anyone with a criminal history will be denied access to the base.

Procedures for the RAPIDGate program will remain the same. And passengers of Department of Defense card holders are not required to obtain a pass but should provide a valid photo I.D. at the access point.
