Alleged Burglar Shot During Breakin Attempt

Princeton Police are investigating an apparently burglary late Tuesday night that ended up with the alleged suspect being flown to an Evansville hospital. According to the report, it was around 11:39pm when officers were called out to the report of a burglary and a shooting at a Hopkinsville Street residence. When officers arrived on the scene they found the apparent suspect, 54-year old Marshall Coleman, of Princeton, had been shot by the home owner as he allegedly attempted to force his way into the residence.

Coleman was transported by Caldwell County EMS to Caldwell Medical Center, and then transferred by helicopter to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Princeton Police say their investigation is continuing.
