A suspect is now in custody in connection with the April 2013 murder of a Hopkinsville woman. According to information released late Thursday afternoon by the Hopkinsville Police Department, 18-year old James Devontrel Day, of Hopkinsville, was arrested around 4:15pm Thursday on a charge of Murder in connection with the death of 44-year-old Kathleen Davis.

Police say they believe that Day strangled Davis, whose body was found in Apartment #2, at 1803 Woodmill Road, on April 6, 2013. Davis' body was found in the vacant apartment by a next door neighbor, who decided to check on the apartment, and saw Davis' legs lying on the floor.
