Teen Arrested For 2013 Murder

A suspect is now in custody in connection with the April 2013 murder of a Hopkinsville woman. According to information released late Thursday afternoon by the Hopkinsville Police Department, 18-year old James Devontrel Day, of Hopkinsville, was arrested around 4:15pm Thursday on a charge of Murder in connection with the death of 44-year-old Kathleen Davis.

Police say they believe that Day strangled Davis, whose body was found in Apartment #2, at 1803 Woodmill Road, on April 6, 2013. Davis' body was found in the vacant apartment by a next door neighbor, who decided to check on the apartment, and saw Davis' legs lying on the floor. Day had been lodged in the Christian County Jail on other charges since July 8.
