Colson in 26th Place After Day One of the Forrest Wood Cup

Local angler Ramie Colson is in 26th place after the first day of the Forrest Wood Cup -- the nation's largest bass fishing tournament.

Colson fought tough conditions to bring home three bass weighing eight pounds.  The top five bass over the minimum size can be used during the weigh-in.

David Dudley of Lynchburg, VA leads after day one with five bass totaling 17-pounds, 14-ounces.

The second round continues Friday on Lake Murray near Columbia, South Carolina with the field for Saturday pared down to the top 20.  The final round Sunday will consist of the top 10 with the winner taking home $500,000.
