MAY

May 17, Friday

Noon - Grace Church will be hosting a series of organ recitals on their historic Estey Pipe Organ, the final program on May 17 will  be given by Brendan Jones. This program is free and open to the public.

7 PM - There is a gospel Singing at Southside Baptist in Princeton, for the Preston Massey Project Pick-Me-Up. Funds go for transportation so that seniors do not drive home Saturday morning after Project Graduation. There will be lots of local talent and Frankie Brown will be the MC for the evening.

May 19, Sunday

There will be no Sunday school at the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church, 2697 N. Rocky Ridge Road, Cadiz. Morning worship service will begin at 10 AM.

Homecoming at Leighs Chapel Church, 120 N. Leighs Chapel Lane in Greenville, featuring The Crossmen. Sunday School 10 AM, Morning Worship 11 AM, Noon Meal and Singing at 1:30.

Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 801 East 4th Street, Hopkinsville, will be observing their Pastor’s 8th anniversary. The Morning Service will begin at 10 AM with Rev. Cortez Miller, Associate Minister of Moore’s Baptist Church. Rev. Montel Richardson and the Herndon Bronaugh Baptist Church will be the guest for the afternoon service at 3 PM. Dinner will be served between the Morning and Afternoon Service. 

10 AM - The RidgeRunners will be at Lakeview Church in Dixon.

2 PM -  Bloomfield Baptist Church will observe Junior Usher day. Rev. Justin Radford from Fifth Ward Baptist Church, Clarksville, TN, will
be the speaker.

May 19 - 22, Sunday - Wednesday

Revival at Rocky Ridge Baptist Church, 79 N. Montgomery Road in Cadiz. Sunday School is 9:30 AM, Morning Worship at 10:30, Evening Worship at 6 and Monday - Wednesday evening service at 7. Bro. Bloomfield Baptist Church along with Genesis Express
will be sponsoring a FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT (especially for Fathers and Young Men) showing the movie COURAGEOUS, It will be held at the Little Theater. Everyone is invited to come and bring your whole family. Admission is Free.

7:30 - 11 PM - Graduating High School Seniors (and their families and friends) are invited to the Cadiz Baptist Church Annex for a Senior Summer Kick-Off with food, prizes and a movie. Prizes include a flat screen TV, dorm refrigerator, microwave and gift cards.

The Hopkinsville YMCA and Celebrate Recovery have created a new partnership to bring recovery to hurting and broken people in Christian County. The YMCA and Celebrate Recovery are sharing a building located at 913 South Main Street in downtown Hopkinsville (across from Harper House and next door to Ferrell’s).

Celebrate Recovery is a Christian based 12 Step Recovery Program based on eight principles from the Beatitudes. Celebrate Recovery is free and open to anyone interested in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction, divorce, co-dependency and other addictions. Butterfly Boutique, 1631 South Main Street in Hopkinsville - a place for the women of Trilogy and their children to come and be pampered, ministered to and shop for clothes that are all donated by the gracious people of Hopkinsville and Cadiz. Donations of womens clothings, shoes, accessories, clothing for children as well as monetary donations are greatly appreciated. Visit the Emmanuel Free Gospel Thrift Store located in the old A1 Furniture Store, 6th Street in Hopkinsville. Store hours 9 AM - 5PM - closed Thursday and Sunday. They accept donations - for free pickup call James at 484-1740 or Donna at 987-2760.

Every Friday - 12 Noon - You are invited to join in a Prayer Circle for the City of Hopkinsville by the fountain at Little River Park.  Open to all who wish to participate.  The Prayer Circle will gather every Friday regardless of weather.

The Coffee CONNECTION has recently opened its doors at 910 South Main Street in Hopkinsville.  They will offer free coffee, tea, soft drinks, snacks and internet service.  Visitors are welcome to come in for quiet reading, kniting, or bring your group for a quiet meeting.  They will operate only on donations.

The Oak Grove Baptist Church has a Cookbook available to honor their 135-year Anniversary.  The book offers over 400 recipes from friends and family from around the United States. $10 each - contact Ramona at 522-9548 or any member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Lakeview Baptist Church has published a cookbook with over 500 recipes from some very talented cooks! Cookbooks are $15 - contact Robin at chubbs475@hotmail.com


Trigg County Family Worship Center has started an Outreach for our community in the Activities Building behind the Church - the Clothes Closet will be distributing, free of charge, clothing for anyone that is in need. The hours will be 4 -8 PM, the 2nd Thursday of each month - donations will be gladly accepted at that time also.
