A 2016 murder case is still on schedule to start in the middle of February despite concerns about evidence. Julius Catlett, Jr. is charged with murder for the death of Shaun Smith in September 2016. Commonwealth’s Attorney, Lynn Pryor told Christian Circuit Judge Andrew Self Wednesday that they were still waiting on information from the crime lab.
Catlett’s Attorney, Brandi Jones says she has concerns about Lieutenant Tyler DeArmond’s testimony at a hearing in July.
Pryor says she has spoken with DeArmond about the paperwork.
Judge Self gave Pryor until Monday to get the information to Jones. The trial against Catlett is set to start February 12.
