Two Calloway County residents have been arrested in connection to break-ins at storage units in multiple counties. Calloway County Sheriff Sam Steger reports their investigation led to the arrest of 30-year old Heather Williams and 34-year old Rick White, both of Lynn Grove after his office received information of possible stolen property on a social media website that was believed to have been taken from Calloway and Marshall counties.
Sheriff Steger says deputies and Murray Police Department detectives executed a search warrant Tuesday at a residence in Lynn Grove in Calloway County in which they recovered a large amount of stolen property, including numerous “Power Wheels”, battery operated motorcycles, tools, furniture, electronic equipment and other items Calloway, Marshall, Graves and McCracken counties. During the search, authorities also found drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the home. He notes with the exception of utility and box trailers taken from private properties and an isolated business, most of the thefts appear to have occurred from storage units.
Sheriff Steger is encouraging residents that own storage units to check to see if it has been broken into. Residents who have been a victim of theft from a storage unit within the past 18 months should contact your local law enforcement agency and report the theft. If you have reported your theft, he says fell free to contact him at the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office at (270) 753-3151.
Williams and White were lodged in the Calloway County Jail charged with multiple counts of Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
