Two western Kentucky farmers are among those who will serve on the Kentucky Farm Service Agency Committee. The Kentucky appointments were included in those approved Thursday by Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue.
Sharon Furches from Calloway County will serve as the Kentucky Committee Chairman. Furches and her family own and operate Furches Farms in Calloway County. She is also a member of the Kentucky Farm Bureau Board of Directors.
Meanwhile, Secretary Perdue approved the appointment of Bart Peters from Trigg County. Peters works for Sevens Springs Farms in Wallonia.
Other Kentucky appointments include Tom Flowers from Shelby County, Kenny Imel from Greenup County and Brenda Paul from Paris.
