Luckily there were no injuries reported when a Hopkinsville man crashed into a Dollar General store in Hopkinsville Thursday morning. Hopkinsville Police say the crash occurred shortly after 10:30am when 69-year old Juan Martinez was pulling into a parking space at the store located at 3819 Lafayette Road. Martinez told officers he began to apply the brake's in his car in order to stop in the parking spot but because of the size of his boots, he also pressed the accelerator. The car reportedly continued forward and hit the front door to the store, causing it to cave in.
