A Hopkinsville man has been charged in connection to a December burglary. Hopkinsville Police report 24-year old Zachary Epperhart was arrested around 4:40 Thursday afternoon in the 300 block of East 7th Street.
The warrant states that on December 2 an officer responded to a burglary in progress and found Epperhart in a wooded area close to the residence, however the warrant does not say where the burglary occurred. Epperhart was also found in possession of a head lamp, which police say is commonly used in burglaries. After he was mirandized, police say Epperhart admitted to using a Christian County Jail card to try to enter the residence where the weather stripping had been removed.
Epperhart was lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with 2nd Degree Burglary.
