According to the 2017 sales totals released by the Kentucky Lottery, Christian County retailers sold 29 million 895 thousand dollars worth of tickets last year. Todd County retailers sold six million, 566-thousand dollars worth of tickets. Calloway county recorded 5 million 193-thousand dollars in sales, with Trigg County reporting one million 811-thousand dollars in sales. Lyon County rounds out area counties with one million 261-thousand dollars in sales.
Jefferson county recorded the most lottery sales at more than 250 million dollars, with Fayette county reporting 61 million, Kenton county 37 million and Hardin county 32 million.
Kentucky Lottery President Tom Delacenserie says that money goes back to Kentucky students.
He says Kentucky continues to be one of the top states for Poweball ticket sales.
