The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center is issuing a plea for all blood types. Spokesperson Robbin Shively says winter storms impact the blood supply.
She adds the other factors that impact the blood supply greatly is illnesses and school closings.
Shively reminds those wanting to give blood, you must meet requirements.
She notes all blood types are needed at this time, especially O- blood.
