Oak Grove Man Indicted For Attempted Rape Friday

The Christian County Grand Jury returned indictments for 20 individuals Friday on charges ranging from attempted to rape to drug trafficking and DUI. 45-year old Duffley James, of Oak Grove, was indicted for 1st Degree Attempted Rape, 1st Degree Sexual Abuse, and Theft of an Automobile. According to Court Records, he brandished a knife at the victim in November and demanded she have sex with him. He was reportedly physically unable to and then sexually assaulted her. It was the victim's vehicle he is charged with stealing.

34-year old Robert Parrish, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on a charge of 2nd Degree Assault. The indictment says on November 11, he caused serious physical injury to Matthew Riley with a dangerous instrument. Riley was reportedly found in the road bleeding.

36-year old Juan Palacious of Clarksville, 50-year old Anita Sanchez of Oak Grove, and 33-year old Lindsay Partridge of Oak Grove were indicted for 3rd Degree Burglary. They reportedly broke into a building belonging to Bruce Bullard in November.

20-year old James Beaver, of Lebanon, TN, is being indicted for Theft of an Automobile and Theft by Unlawful Taking under $500 after he allegedly took the Chevy Cobalt belonging to Tammy Hedges as well as a number of her belongings.

25-year old Jacob Ponder, of Oak Grove, was indicted for Theft by Unlawful Taking over $500 but under $10,000, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The indictment says he stole two tablets, two laptops, a cell phone, an Xbox 360, a digital camera, and a camera lens.

26-year old Stephen Robertson, of Oak Grove, faces indictment for 2nd Degree Criminal Mischief, Tampering with Physical Evidence, 3rd Degree Terroristic Threatening, 4th Degree Assault, and Alcohol Intoxication. The charges stem from an incident on November 12th in which Robertson allegedly stole and damaged property belonging to Joneshia Vaughn and also assaulted her.

33-year old Jason Carneyhan, of Cerulean, faces indictment on two counts of 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment.

33-year old Dustin Harris, of Hopkinsville, was indicted for 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment and 2nd Degree Cruelty to Animals.

46-year old Tonya Newberry, of Oak Grove, was indicted for 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment, DUI 1st Offense, and Reckless Driving.

23-year old Jaquavian Spencer, of Hopkinsville, faces indictment on charges of Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Tampering with Physical Evidence, 1st Degree Fleeing or Evading Police, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon by a Prior Deadly Weapon Felony Offender.

19-year old Demarquavion Merritt, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on charges of Trafficking in Marijuana less than 8 Ounces while Armed and Receiving a Stolen Firearm.

26-year old Johnnie Cable is being indicted on charges of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

39-year old Jamie Alvey, of Hopkinsville, faces indictment for Possession of Methamphetamine and two counts of Promoting Contraband.

40-year old Jamey Adams, of Hopkinsville, was indicted for Possession of Methamphetamine, 2nd Degree Fleeing or Evading Police, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Public Intoxication, and Possession of Marijuana.

33-year old Jason Birsong, of Hopkinsville, was indicted for DUI 4th Offense and Driving on a DUI Suspended License 3rd Offense with Aggravator.

33-year old Christopher Kelley, of Hopkinsville, was indicted for DUI 4th Offense, with Aggravator.

Darryl Dixon and Tremayne Welch were indicted for Tampering with a Prisoner Monitoring Device.
