Thomas Talks Legislative Priorities

State Representative Walker Thomas spoke with the News Edge on Saturday about some of the pieces of legislation he’s been working on in the Kentucky House of Representatives. Among them is a bill that would continue tax-exempt status for veteran pensions.

Thomas says the bill will be introduced in committee on Wednesday but adds he is excited about the state senate’s passage of Marcy’s Law, one of the first pieces of legislation passed in 2018 that was sponsored by Senator Whitney Westerfield.

Thomas adds another law he was proud to support was Jenna’s Law sponsored by Rep. Jason Petrie, who represents Logan, Todd, and Warren counties.

House Concurrent Resolution 34 filed by Rep. Danny Bentley, who represents Boyd and Greenup counties, is another.
