Fugitive Wanted By State Police Arrested In McCracken

A fugitive wanted in Marshall County after he fled from police last month has been arrested in McCracken County. The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies conducted a traffic stop around 12:05am Friday morning in the area of South Friendship Road and Woodview Drive.

During the traffic stop, deputies observed 38-year old Ian Hunter, of Paducah, in the back seat of the vehicle. Deputies say Hunter was wearing a blonde woman’s wig in an attempt to disguise himself. They add Hunter then gave them another person’s identification.

Kentucky State Police had been searching for Hunter after he fled on foot during a traffic stop on Highway 68 in Draffenville on January 10th. During the stop, troopers searched the vehicle and reportedly found drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking, along with a significant amount of meth.

Hunter was lodged in the McCracken County Jail for a warrants out of Marshall and McCracken counties, as well as additional charges of Theft of Identity and Resisting Arrest.
