A Hopkinsville woman was injured in a single vehicle wreck on Eagle Way Bypass Thursday afternoon. Hopkinsville Police report the crash occurred around 2:35pm near the Foston Chapel Road connection when 65-year old Janice Cunningham was driving westbound and stated she fell asleep. An eyewitness told officers Cunningham's van drifted off the road and hit a guard rail, went airborne and turned in mid air and landed on all four wheels in a ditch facing east. The van had to be towed from the scene due to severe damage to the front end.
Cunningham was transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment.
