Motorists traveling in Hopkinsville need to be aware a portion of South Main Street will be closed Monday through Friday. The Hopkinsville Surface and Storm Water Utility plans to close the street between Latham Avenue and Sterling Drive each day from 8:00am until 5:00pm. Officials indicate residents in the immediate area will have access their homes at all times and the streets will reopen each evening. Detours will be clearly marked on South Main Street, South Virginia Street, Latham Avenue and Alumni Avenue for the closed area.
Officials say they expect this to be one of the final road closures for this site.
