U.S. Forest Service officials at Land Between the Lakes plan to open most campgrounds and attractions Friday with some flood related limitations. Officials say this lifts a February 28 camping closure order put in place to protect life, property and resources.
Forest officials urge visitors to exercise continued caution when visiting LBL. They indicate many areas remain underwater and some areas experienced erosion. Officials note receding waters will also leave debris that could pose a hazard to visitors. Visitors are also warned to not drive in standing water.
