Man Charged With 2nd DUI, Meth Possession

A Greenville man was arrested during a traffic stop early Tuesday morning on charges for his second DUI and meth possession. State Police report the traffic stop occurred shortly before 12:45am on KY 246 in Drakesboro for the rear license plate not being illuminated.

Police say the driver, 40-year old James Dennis, did not have his driver’s license or proof of insurance. He also reportedly failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.

Upon further investigation, troopers say the found suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Dennis was booked into the Muhlenberg County Jail charged with DUI 2nd, 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and other offenses.
