Hopkinsville Native Writes Book About Breast Cancer

A Hopkinsville native who currently lives in Decatur, Alabama has written a book about her experience after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Kimberly Hancock Tisor was diagnosed on November 4, 2016. She will be in Hopkinsville this Saturday for a book signing. She says she felt the call to share her story in the book entitled “Joy is Contagious….Cancer Isn’t”.

Two of the eleven women who assisted by sharing their experiences in the book are from Hopkinsville and will also be on the program.

The book signing, along with some selected readings, will be Saturday afternoon from 2:00 until 4:00 at the First Baptist Church in Hopkinsville. Tisor says it will be a relaxing time.

Tisor is a broadcaster and is currently Sonrise Host at Christian radio KTLF and is a blogger and podcaster. She is a 1988 graduate of Hopkinsville High School. She graduated from the Hopkinsville Community College and Murray State University. She got her start in broadcasting at TV-43 in Hopkinsville.She says her message in the book is you can have joy in the midst of a cancer diagnosis.
