A Hopkinsville man was charged with his second DUI and other offenses after a rear-end collision at South Virginia and East 21st streets Thursday night. Hopkinsville Police arrested 41-year old Kerry Brasher around 6:45pm after they smelled alcohol on his breath and he performed poorly on field sobriety tests. A breathalyzer was administered and police say it detected a .202 Blood Alcohol Content.

During a search of his vehicle, police reportedly found four pain pills in a cellophane wrapper on the driver’s floorboard.

While being booked into the Christian County Jail, officers say Brasher admitted to smoking marijuana prior to driving. He was charged with his 2nd Offense of Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol under Aggravating Circumstances, Driving on a DUI Suspended License under Aggravating Circumstances, and 3rd Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance.
