Patti’s 1880s Settlement Reopening Pushed To Later This Year (w/Video)

More bad news about the reopening of Patti’s 1880s Settlement Restaurant that was destroyed by fire in February. Marketing Director Ann Martin says in a recent update on YouTube the process is moving slower than anticipated and the opening date has been pushed back. She notes the demolition process has not started, and as General Manager Anita Williamson explains they are still in the inspection phase.

During the last update, they thought the building was ready to come down. However, Williamson says as it looks like now it will be later in the year before they reopen. Unfortunately, she adds staff will need to be reduced.

Martin says this was a hard decision for the owners and management because the Patti’s staff is like family.

Patti’s 1880s Settlment Restaurant was ravaged by fire the morning of February 3. Firefighters and rescue members responded to the restaurant and able to keep the fire contained the offices and kitchen area that is used for both Patti’s and Bill’ dining rooms.Patti’s 1880s Settlement Restaurant is one of the main tourist attractions in Grand Rivers and is located at 1793 J H O’Bryan Avenue.
