Police say a Madisonville man out on parole for multiple previous drug trafficking convictions was arrested again Wednesday afternoon for trafficking meth and cocaine. Madisonville Police report 44-year old Duwayne Moore, Sr. was arrested at the intersection of East Noel and North Kentucky avenues shortly before 3:00pm.
Police say detectives had utilized a confidential informant to purchase methamphetamine and crack cocaine from Moore on two separate occasions.
Due to numerous drug trafficking complaints from citizens, police say Wednesday the Madisonville-Hopkins County VICE/Narcotics Unit was patrolling the area of East Noel and North Kentucky avenues when they observed Moore standing on the street corner at the intersection. Detectives reportedly approached Moore and took him into custody due to the meth purchases.
Moore was booked into the Hopkins County Detention Center charged with two counts of 2nd or Greater Offense for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Meth), and two counts of 2nd or Greater Offense for 1st Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Cocaine).
