Clarksville Police say a plane crashed on landing at the Clarksville Regional Airport Sunday afternoon during thunderstorms that moved through the area.
CPD Officer Steven Warren says the Cessna 182 touched down around 3:30pm and went through the perimeter fence then came to rest on the shoulder of Outlaw Field Road, blocking one lane of traffic.
Police say the pilot was the only occupant of the plane and that his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening although they did not say what hospital the pilot was treated at. The investigation into the crash is continuing.
