The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 11:00am until 8:00pm Friday.
Meteorologists say sustained 10 to 20 mph winds from the southwest with gusts over 30 mph at times will affect the area.
The strong winds will result in hazardous conditions on area lakes for small watercraft, especially prone to capsizing on area lakes.
